Meredith Bluver, M.S., CCC-SLP is licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist Nationally and in Georgia. Certified as a YOGA SLP with 13 years of clinical experience with a focus on individual care, diagnostic testing, and early pediatric intervention; my belief is that every individual has the ability to communicate.

My background includes an undergraduate degree from the University of Florida, a Masters in Speech Language Pathology from the University of New Hampshire with a concentration on early childhood intervention, and a specialized fellowship focused on pediatric speech pathology. My fellowship was based in a multi-disciplinary setting, where I worked closely with Occupational Therapists and Psychologists; here I honed my skills on the importance of whole-child and sensory based therapy. I focused on individual therapy where I diagnosed and treated expressive, receptive, and articulation disorders and provided treatment for children with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Dyslexia, and Down Syndrome.

My experiences include a background in the Georgia public school system; this has fortified my understanding of the need for more specialized individual treatment. My therapy skills have been sharpened through a wide variety of experiences that have included therapy private practice, acute care and outpatient pediatric and adult hospital intervention and further development of my own private practice.

During my time as an elementary School Speech Therapist, I worked with children in group settings and provided individual therapy focused on pragmatics to develop social skills, articulation, and language. These children had a myriad of challenges including hearing impairment, severe and profound Autism, Epilepsy, and Traumatic Brain Injury. After working in the school system, I further developed my skills in an outpatient practice that incorporated both pediatric and adult assessment and intervention. My pediatric therapy includes early intervention with parent modeling sessions: including play therapy, language, and early articulation.

My treatment consists of whole-child, adaptive therapies with individualized attention and treatment plans. Intervention for adolescent clients includes articulation, language and literacy and pragmatic skills as well as tongue thrust and voice.

Adult intervention includes assessment and intervention for dysarthria, language (aphasia) and voice such as vocal nodules, muscle tension dysphonia, vocal cord dysfunction, etc.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, practicing yoga, cooking, and photography.
